Ho Chi Minh City lesson 101: How to cross the street like a boss

And I made it out in one piece…!

    Dear uncomfortable traveller,
So you are now on the Hi Chi Minh trail! I do offer a piece of advice. As Elmer the safety elephant used to say: “Always look both ways before crossing the road”
Perhaps you will be fortunate enough to get an uncensored history lesson as you did in Ireland. You might learn how US planes sprayed Agent Orange (a defoliant) on countless Laos, Vietnamese and Cambodian civilians and Henry Kissinger carpet bombed Cambodia in order to repel the communist advance into Saigon. Luckily, we are much more civilized now and would never inflict such suffering on others. At least not without a good reason. . .
You will return from your travels a richer, more complete person from being exposed to the beauty as well as the harshness of our world. Or maybe not. . .
Have you considered renting a scooter? That trail is thousands of kilometers long, for the love of cilantro and coconut milk!
Besides, when in Rome. . .
