Location: Bondi Beach, Sydney New South Wales, Australia
Sydney was sweltering on my last day in the city so what better way to cool down than to head over to Bondi Beach. Arguably one of the most famous beaches in the world, Bondi is an iconic stretch of fine sand & curling waves.
“Bondi” or “Boondi” is an Aboriginal word meaning water breaking over rocks
Seriously, how awesome is this beach? While I have been incredibly spoiled and have seen prettier beaches in Hawai’i, it’s still striking and was a pretty sweet way to beat the heat!
I remember this beach well from my trip for the Sydney Paralympics. Interesting beachwear over there compared to us modest Canadians. 🙂
